OH MY FUCKING GOD. Transformers was absolutely and utterly amazing. Flat out kick-ass and unbelievably good. Blew my expectations out of the water.

***************************************************************************
**Warning** Here there be spoilers****Dont read if you havnt seen it*******
**********************Skip Down a bit*************************************
***************************************************************************

I tried to find something (plotwise, storyline wise, Transformers canon-wise) that was wrong with it, and I'm drawing a total blank. Ok, so they updated and modernized all the Transfomers. GREAT. Yea, they killed off jazz, it was sad, but its to be expected....somebody had to die.."Without sacrifice, there is no victory". And lets face it, he died in a pretty kick ass way. Torn in half by Megatron. Least he didnt get killed by whiny-ass StarScream, who, I'll admit, was pretty fucking badass in this movie. And I'm hoping that by killing off Jazz they're making room for Hot-Rod in the next movie, cause, lord knows theres gonna be a sequel. With Bumblebee now being a sexy-ass Camaro, they didnt want to crowd up the Autobots forces with fast cars. Had to leave some room for badasses like IronSides. By the way, fans of Drawn Together...the guy who voided IronSides and Barricade is none other than the voice of superhero gone wrong, Captain Hero.

**********************************************************************************************************SAFE TO READ AGAIN********************************
******************************************************************************

So, in conclusion...this movie kicked massive amounts of ass. I loved it, absolutely loved it. Would gladly go see it again if anyones interested. It perfectly balanced my childhood's favorite toys and TV show with plenty of violence and explosions to satiate me. The humor was spot on for Transformers, with plenty of bad jokes and appreciable humor. And of course, they added in all the bits of dialouge that fans expect, including the famous lines "more than meets the eye", "Autobots, Roll out!", Megatron bitching out StarScream, and yes, even an Optimus Prime classic good guy speech.

Ok....gonna post one pissed off baseball rant here, cause I cant seem to find my blogspot password....

I went to my first Mets game of this season last night (being the 26th of june). It was against the Cardinals. Now, when we first played the Cardinals in the opening series of this year, we beat them by a combined 20-2, three game sweep. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Them from defending fluke world series chumps..err, champs (my recurring nightmares of beltran watchign the third strike still havnt stopped) are pathetic, and at this point have one of the worse starting staff ERA's in the Majors...you'd think this would allow the Mets, hot off a three game sweep of Oakland, to pound on them mercilessly and gain valuable momentum before an important weekend against the philly phaggots. You, however, would think wrong. Our pathetically anemic offense decided to go, well, missing. Monday, against the viscious Mike Maroth and his near 6 ERA, we managed one run, a Carlos Gomez hr. We won the game only by virtue of Green smacking one out in the 11th. Today, at the game I attended, we'd also need 11. Against a pitcher with a 5.58 ERA pregame, we again managed only one run early on. The highlight of the early innings was Delgado whiffing after Beltran stole 2nd and 3rd, and with Wright on first. But so much went wrong....Reyes was hitless, Delgado was terrible, and while not all that many got out against him, Oliver Perez was being hit hard, every out nearly going to the deep outfield. Aaron Heilman came in and inexplicably was left for a 2nd inning, having pitched 2 yesterday. He was hit pretty hard, and gave up 2, though one was due to a Valentin Error. Then, in the bottom of the eigth, Loduca brought us close with a shot to the Cards bullpen. Then, in the ninth Green and Valentin led us back to a tie game. Enter Sandman, wagner is lights out in the 10th, as we fail to score. Then, Willy makes the dumb move...puts in Scott Schoenweiss. Everyone left at Shea, gets up and leaves. 35 thousand Mets fans know whats gonna happen...Willy apparently doesnt...this guy SUCKS ASS....terrible pitcher. Anyway, some idiot nobodys ever heard of drops a towering fly ball into the Cards pen, then another few hitters get on and one more scores on Valentins second E of the game. Mets fail to get back in the bottom, game over...Bowie pissed.
However, one real positive..I sat in the bleachers, and to get in, you had to walk within 20 feet of the Citifield construction, and you could see into the inner areas, it was amazing...almost like a religous experience for me..not that I'm religous or anything, but. It was just really cool to see. And on the exposed girders construction workers had written various things like "Lets Go Mets" and "Go Mets" and "Bless the Mets" (see, told ya it was semi-religous). It was just really cool to be able to see the construction at that stage from that close.
Well, heres hoping the Mets turn it around, and or somebody shoots Schoenweiss in the face. Preferably both.
Till next time, I'm John Bowie. LATA

I still have one of these things? Weird, huh.....
Guess who's back, back again....Bowie's back, tell a friend....

Yea, i know, probably used that once or twice before. But hey, I've got some free time to kill, and well, Tino just got one of these, and I dont want to be outdone by Tino (i was here first), so I've decided to re-open this interesting little space of mine. For those wondering...I'm back on the Island. Back to ferry land for the time being. Working my ass off to settle for when i go away again. School went well, personal life is great, yada yada yada. Anyway...Im hoping to get back into at least semi-regular posts here...we'll see. Alot of it might be sports bitching, so i might stick that on my other blog, http://ibleedblueandorange.blogspot.com to save peoples friends page space who dont want to hear me bitch about the Mets. We'll see. So, with that said, Greetings again to all my LJ friends. Its good to be back
~Bowie

Frakkin SNOW

So, lemme tell you all about MY weekend.
Let me preface this with a little backstory. Monday, we got an email from our band director saying that practices later in the week may be indoors, seeing as we're expecting a snow/rain winter mix. A little early one might think, but it is Buffalo. So we didnt pay it much mind. Then, wednesday, around noon it started raining. It continued raining until about some time thursday morning, just before noon. At which point, it began snowing. And didnt stop until, oh, 2pm FRIDAY. 8.5 inches thursday, which, would have been a single day record for october, except that between the ending of thursday and 5am friday, we had ANOTHER FOOT. All told, about two feet here. A new western NY record. Earliest major lake effect snow in history. Classes cancelled friday (WOO!), football game and parents weekend rescheduled. One might think Buffalo is equipped to deal with this much snow. And to be truthful, if it were, you know, a month later, they would have been. But they just werent ready for this much, now. Its October 12/13th people. IT SHOULDNT BE SNOWING!!!!! Figures it would be a Friday the 13th too...Probably a full moon too, though I wouldnt have been able to see it in the snow. Trees are down everywhere, 330,000 without power. Major stretches of roads blacked out totally. Traffic lights, stores, everything. Including yours truly. It went out 9pm thursday, during the 7th inning of the Mets game, much to my dismay. Though i'm glad I wasnt watching last night, so I didnt have to see Wagner blow the FUCKING GAME. Nice toppin off to my weekend there, thanks Billy. You dickwad. Anywho, so yeah, Buffalo/Amherst, pretty much all of friggin Erie county is in a state of emergency, theres a driving ban, and oh yea, a shitload of snow which is about to start melting and becoming a shitload of flood. That is, until nighttime, when it will freeze into a sheet of ice. I'm here on campus staying with some friends. Cell service is a bit sketchy (seems theres some towers down) but feel free to give me a call. I'll try and answer/call back when possible. Hope all is well with the rest of you. Oh, and for those of you reading this in sunny California, I dont wanna hear it. ;-). J/k. I'll back online to chat whenever I get power again, which could be wednesday, could be next saturday. Who knows?!
Oh, and:

LETS GO METS!

Lets feel the winning spirit of 86, 20 years later still strong. Lets remember the immortal words of Tug Mcgraw. Ya GOTTA BELIEVE! Believe in the Amazins, the Miracle Mets. This is our year. This is the Team, the Time, The Mets, your 2006 National League Eastern Division Champions! The team that put an end to the Braves decade plus of NL East dominance. The team that has survived injury and overcome every obstacle since day 1 of this season. Do it for Pedro. Do it for Duaner. Do it for El Duque. Do it for the greatest fans in baseball, who have stuck by this team through long and painful years. Stuck by through the long, painful early 90s, through Kenny Rogers walking home the last run in 99. Through the rush, elation, and sudden heartbreak in 2000. Fans who have stuck by their team while every other fair weather fan in their state ran to the Yankees. This our time. So, let me hear you tonight, tommorow, and every other night. Root root root for your home team. Cheer em at Shea. Cheer em in LA, and wherever we may go past that.
We got the teamwork, to make the dreamwork, LETS GO, LETS GO METS!
This is a Mets year, for all your Mets cheer! LETS GO, LETS GO METS!
Theres no stopping us now. We're gonna do it again!
LETS GO METS! Thats the cheer, all over New York Town!

Well, I just got some news that made my day. Apparently, today, Sunday, the ferry's busiest day of the week, while I was sitting on my ass, relaxing, seeing Spam-A-Lot, enjoying dinner in the city, the Park City broke down. In spectacular ferry fashion, the POS stepped in and said "Grab your ankles ferry employees and customers, I picked the worst possible time to fall apart again!"
Except for one major detail: This time, I wasnt there. Only once since I began my time @ the ferry have I managed to miss such an event, and that was when Eddie Pitts decided to "volunteer" for early retirement from the ferry by dragging the PTB through the mooring field mere days before the Old Grand was to be delivered to Orient. If not for speedy repairs (and a bit of luck), the ferry would have been reduced to a one vessel operation, as we almost were weeks later when the PTB went out of service before the New Grand was ready. Sadly, I was there for that one. So, I felt the need to rejoice in this moment.

Almost time to head north. It's gonna be a bit weird leaving for school again. I'm gonna miss people. Especially those who are moving away, and won't be here when I get home.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. Farewell X-man, good luck in the 'Burgh.
The Mets today traded Xavier Nady to the Pirates for Roberto Hernandez and Oliver Perez. Neither player worth Nady alone, barely together. A tragedy cost the Mets their set-up man, Duaner Sanchez, who has had an amazing season, for the remainder of the year. Fucking Miami drivers. So with hopes of Hernandez resuming his set up role, the Mets made the deal that could only be described as "necessary", I suppose.
Oh, and on that note, Lastings Milledge, you better be fucking ready to step up and kick-ass. We need you.
To the Braves, Phillies, and Marlins: Eat your dust suckas!

Quick update. I'm in Buffalo, @ Danny B's. I'll give full stories later, but lemme touch on highlights. I've seen some interesting things on my trip, chief among them a convience store called "Ho-Mart." Yes, you read that right. Today, I saw the campus, then Dan and I took off for Buffalo town. We went over the border and visited our backwards neighbors to the north, checked out Niagra falls. Then, we came back to the good old US of A. Being in Buffalo, I felt it my manly duty to go visit the home of the quintesential manly food, the Buffalo wing. Yes, we journeyed to the Anchor Bar, home of America's first Buffalo Wing. There, I took on the spiciest Buffalo wing I ever tasted. The "Suicide" wing @ the anchor bar. It was absofuckinglutely delicious. It was most definitely the spiciest food I have ever tried. Definitely filled with chilli and cayenne peppers. It was hot as HELL!! I began to sweat from these wings, and after eating 10 of them, my eyes teared, and the tears that came out were literally boiling hot. BOILING FUCKING HOT! This is serious, no shit, hotter than anything I've ever tried before. They get a 15 out of 10 on the "Tastes Great to Bowie" scale. Never in my life have I had a better Buffalo wing. They were amazing. Now, its time to get some sleep.

Well, I kind of expected this a little. And I'm damn sure ready to defend myself.
I posted a little while ago about SUNY rejecting the Academic Bill of Rights. Well, this past wednesday, my articles were published about it. A larger news story about the ABOR being rejected by SUNY, and a smaller opinion piece about ABOR's impact @ Suffolk. Starting thursday morning, I came under fire. I got some criticism in my journalism class, but some positive stuff too. Then I caught shit from a student who likes a professor that I mentioned in my opinion piece. He called it crap, and offensive. He informed me that the professor was also offended. Which, lets be fair, if the truth about him offends, well, he's got bigger issues than me calling him on it. Neglect that he was not the focus of my article. And also neglect that it was an opinion page. At least, neglect those if you feel like agreeing with him. If you enjoy freedom of expression, and of the press, well, dont neglect those. Today, I got forwarded a complaint letter sent to the paper's staff address. Ripped my articles apart. Accused me of slander. Also wants his response published in next issue. Not sure if that'll happen, but probably. Not my choice, but interestingly enough, if it was, I would. Ah well. More to come.

Anywho, I saw this quiz on my little bro's profile, and took it thinking that there was no broadway musical that could possibly fit my life. And well, it turns out I was right. Mad props to the person who wrote this quiz for including the third greatest musical of all time in their possible answers (though a big thumbs down for no phantom). And lets face it, I could have been a loser like my bro and picked all the obvious Rent answers, but I didn't. And I was amazingly suprised at what I got.

Take the quiz:
What Musical Are You?

Once More With Feeling
You're Once More With Feeling! <lj:music>Drawn Together!!!!!!!!!!!!</lj:music>

Tonight, hockey truly returned to New York. Mets vs. Yankees, Giants vs. Jets, are both wonderful games that give their fans bragging rights in the greatest city in the world. But only in one sport, does a New York Vs New York matchup actually mean anything. Thats right, Hockey. Islanders vs. Rangers. Manhattan vs. Long Island. 4 Stanley Cups a piece, with the Rangers being the most recent. And for the last few seasons of hockey, a rivalry that had been well, one sided. The popular chants last year at the games were "You can't beat us" from the Ranger fans and "Make the playoffs" from the blue and orange faithful. Well, apparently Satan heard some rangers fans start that chant tonight. And well, he did. The game was tied 2-2 after regulation, and still after the 4 on 4 overtime.Enter Hockeys new invention. The Shootout. The Islanders scored on their second attempt, Miroslav Satan. Dipietro blanked all three rangers, and that was the game. Both teams played hard, and Rick Dipietro was FANTASTIC, making crazy saves. However, the game should never have gone as far as it did. The Rangers first goal was a tip in by an Islander, that would most likely not have been a goal otherwise. Oh well. Round two of eight tommorow night, back home at the Coliseum. LETS GO ISLANDERS!

Import CDs

    <lj:music>SR-71 - 1985</lj:music>

So I got my first Imported Cd today. No, sadly not the Nightwish CDs I ordered weeks ago. No, this was (read this line slowly) A Japanese Import CD of an American Band. Yup. SR-71, with its often changing lineup, released a CD about two years ago in Japan. The Cd came with a japanese writing insert on the side and back, as well as the jewel case insert in english with a second one in japanese. Pretty sweet. Front man Mitch Allan is still around, as is Drummer John Allen, who joined the band for Tommorow. (See the review of that CD @ the Aces Lounge.) The rest of the band is brand new. This CD is supposedly coming out soon in the US, but is being released as a Mitch Allan CD, not an SR-71 cd. Ya know, cause reports that the band broke up because he was an egotistical man weren't already around. Anywho, I enjoy his singing, so I won't complain. The New Cd features a great "I'm still stuck in the 80's" kinda song called "Axl Rose", a tribute to the legendary rocker. Now, I'm thinking the message to this song was kind of like 1985. The next track is a cover of Peter Gabriel's (I'm pretty sure its his) song "In your Eyes". Very well done. Two tracks later, a familiar sounding song comes on. 1985. Turns out, after a little research that this is, in fact, the original version. Bowling for Soup took advantage of the songs never being released in the US to make it a hit for themselves. Only a few lyrics have really been changed, and the original is a great song. Not sure about which I like better, but I'm sure I'll decide sooner or later. As for those Nightwish CDs, well, they've just delayed the release of the NTSC Version of the cd, so who knows how long before my cd is even shipped from Finland. Till next time......

    <lj:music>Firefly - Jaynestown</lj:music>

I always believed in Futures, I hoped for better in November.. I try the same losing lucky Numbers, It could be a cold night, for a lifetime. Hey now, you can't keep saying endlessly, My darling, how long until this affects me? Say Hello to good times...

Well, finally, here it is. Part 3, the finale to my summer summary! Read on, without further delay!!!

The City:

Twice during this summer I ventured into the city. Now, let me clarify something here. When I say "The City" I mean Manhattan. Theres a few non-New Yorkers on here. I was in NYC a shitload of times, what with Mets games, but I was only in THE City twice. The first time came after a Mets game. Deric had come in to join Tino and I @ Pepsi Night. The game got over quickly, and as Tino and I had taken the train to the game, we decided to take a little side trip into Manhattan, namely to get some pizza. The 7 train lets out in Times square, so we emerged in the center of Broadway, immediately outside the theatre where my favorite Broadway Play resides. Those of you who remember the Phantom of the opera pic I used to have, thats where it was taken. It was, at the time, part of a hoax I was planning on playing on Corinne, till Erik screwed it up. We got some fantasticly amazing Pizza (the only kind served in manhattan), and hung out for a bit, before catching the train from Penn back out east. The second time I went in was a little farewell visit with Deric before he headed out to China. Adam and I took the train in to see Deric in a well, interesting, play, Entitled "The Day the world went queer". Deric, appropriately enough played the old-fashioned conservative republican good old American boy main character, who defends his towns faith against the evil gay agenda. It was hilarious, if not largely disturbing. I'm also pretty sure that Adam and I were the only straight men in the audience. Afterwards, we headed over to the old Tavern to celebrate, and wish our friend good luck and happy birthday as he headed for China. Adam and I had yet another interesting experience on the train ride home. For some reason, we were both speaking in Irish accents. Now, this seemed to make sense at the time, but in retrospect, makes significantly less sense. Now, as this was in fact the last train out of Manhattan for the night on a saturday, it was in fact, packed to the gills with people in the same situation as I. You know, a train of drunks. Many were worse off than us. Some were pretty much in the same mind frame. Like this girl standing next to us. Who was getting very interested in two sexy men speaking in Irish accents. I dropped it after not too long. I couldnt hold it anymore. Adam kept it up. Then she started talking to us, and proceeded to fall for Adam being from Ireland, and then proceeded to hit on us. Too bad she was ugly. She got off, and Adam and I managed to find seats in the only train car that had no working AC and pass out there. We got back to Ronkonkoma and got a ride home. End of a fantastic night. Great Balls of FIRE!!!! Best of Luck to Mr. Ullman over on the far end of the earth.

Colorado:

Rocky Mountain High. After being unable to go with my family when they went out to Colorado, I went a few weeks later, to visit with my family out there, as well as Check at CU @ Boulder, which is where I'd like to finish my schooling. Let me tell you a few things about Colorado. I first went the summer after 6th grade, and again that following summer for weddings. I stayed about a week each time, and from those days on, one thought that has never changed in my mind is "My god, this is a beautiful place, and I want to live here". I named it often as my chosen place of retirement, and those were the days before I ever dreamed of truly living anywhere other than Long Island. Well, when I found out they had a school that had my major, was well acclaimed for it, and oh yea, actually had a football team, I was sold. Then I saw pics of the campus. Then I actually visited. My thoughts went something like "My god, I love Colorado." My family out there lives not too far from campus, and Aunt Pat and Uncle Bills house in the mountains is possibly the most beautiful place I've ever been. I'm not one for blistering heat, sandy beaches, and salt water. Give me mountains, clean air, and zero humidity. The campus is fantastic, the program is unbelievable, and the town is perfect. Add to that the possibility of home cooked meals on weekends, and a friendly place to go should things go south, I'd say this place has it all. Well, all except one thing. I'd have to be away from my love most of the year, but I know we can make it through that. I know we can.

Losses:

This is the sad part of this entry. I feel it important to mark the passing of two great men. Thomas Arthur Byrne, my Uncles Father, and a part of my life and family for as long as I can remember. A great man. May he rest in peace. Secondly, Mr. Souza. Though I never knew him, his son is one of my good friends, and if a man may be judged by the son he has raised, he was truly a great man. May both these men Rest in Peace.

Romance: (More appropriately, lack thereof)

Well, this sections kind of a sad story too. Well, least it was until about, oh, September 20th or so. Now, I could go on and bore you with details of my failures this summer, but hell, that just doesn't sound like very much fun, now does it. I didnt think so. Lets just suffice to say that my efforts at romance this summer were about as successful as Chad Pennington's attempts to prove he can throw a football more than 20 yards. Like I said, there wasn't much happening. Not through lack of effort, I assure you. See my lj entry where I talk about the treadmill. That about sums it up.But none of that matters now, for as summer has ended, so has my streak of bad luck. I have met the woman of my dreams. She is, without a doubt, the one for me. Since I know you'll be reading this, Laurie, I love you.

And that folks, is the end of this exciting tale. Hope you actually read the whole thing, and didnt fall asleep somewhere in the middle. If you did, well, wake up, you're probably drooling on your keyboard, and well, saliva and keyboards don't exactly mix. Thanks for bearing with me folks.
Live long, and Prosper, and May the Force be with you, Always.

    <lj:music>Firefly - Safe</lj:music>

Me and the Boys, we made alot of noise, and we sang all our songs for free...We did it our way, looking back on those good days, theres still not alot I regret. Nights I can't remember, friends I'll never forget...

Here it is Folks, the much awaited sequel to Wake Me Up When September Ends.

It Don't Mean a Thing....

.....If it ain't got that swing. Ain't that the truth. As school drew to a close and summer began, the crowd began filtering back to good old Long Island, away from the joys of college to the real world of summer jobs and living with mom and dad again. (At least, for those of you who don't do it year round.) But for my friends and I, theres always an escape, our tuesday night break from reality. Swing Dancing @ Brennans. I've been doing this since senior year of high school, back at the old Driftwood. Of that old crowd, there are very few of us left. Myself and Steve really. After our time at the Driftwood, SDLI moved to Port Jazz. There, a new crowd began to form. Jay, Marissa, Judy, Kramer, Beth, became regulars here. Last summer, we moved again to Brennans. Kim, Shira, Dan, and Jeremy became regulars. This summer, the crowd expanded again. Dani, Josh, Erin, Don and a few others joined us, and Steve, Beth, and Kramer found their way back. Every tuesday we could be found swinging away, then hanging around at Applebees or Fridays till late night. And of course, we had our share of escapades outside swing. The risk game at Dans that went so long eliminated players began a Texas Hold-Em game using dead pieces on the side, as well as various other hang outs.

Nerd Hold 'Em:

Yup. Nerd Baseball and Nerd Football wasn't enough. This summer, we shifted our massive brains to the hottest game in America. And though we never got our own show on TV (think celebrity poker, but with us instead of useless hollywood jackasses) Beginning at Tino's and including stops @ Orens and Bowies, The NWSOP tour was wild and crazy. Asian Poker God Jay Vechakul was one of the top moneymakers, as well as infamous Feta-Cheese lover Tino. Even the Hizzlebeast got in on the action, not so much winning a tourney @ Tinos, but merely refusing to play for so long that Jay let him have it. I managed to take one game @ Oren's, beating Luke in the head to head showdown. Only one Nerd that attended repeat events never won, though he did get into the money once, saving himself total embarassment. That was our very own Lettuce Boy, Erik O. Fun was had by all, and money changed hands repeatedly. One can only hope events continue into the school year.

By Sea or By Air:

The number one question I heard from my good friend Steve Souza this summer was "Bowie, when are we going flying?" My answer "Whenever we both get a day off that the weather cooperates. Well, that day finally came, near the beginning of August. I got off work at 2. By 3, Steve and I were in his car, heading for Moriches. Our first stop, Moriches Bay. Now, its not much of a bay, but the M.V. Spanker isn't much of a boat. Sizewise that it. Steves little boat, christened so by he and Jay because of its trademark ass-slapping ride, was, as Steve put it "The Fastest Boat on the bay." And let me tell you, the little girl doesn't disapoint. We took her over into a small bay inside Moriches, where Steve introduced me to a sport he reffered to as "Ghetto Knee Boarding", wherein one person would drive the boat while the other took the ride on a boogey board towed behind it. I quickly demonstrated to Steve my mariner's skills, and earned the right to steer the spanker. After several attempts, Steve was quoted as saying "Ow, my nipples" and decided to call it a day. Next Stop, Spedaro's Airport. Now, let me tell you, Spedaro's brings a whole new meaning to Short-field. Most pilots probably couldn't even find the damn thing on a map, and 98% of Long Island probably doesn't know it exists. I'll be honest, neither would I, except for Steves tales of flying with the old man. Weather had begun to shift against us, giving us only marginal VFR, so Steve decided to remain in the pattern. I didn't care, I was airborne again, and not in some damn airliner. The feeling of freedom, the sudden rush when the ground is no longer supporting you, well, there is no comparison. Steve let me take the reigns for one pattern, and it was an amazing feeling to have my hands on the yoke again. Little odd being in the opposite seat, but oh well. Afterwards, it was dinner with Jay at the best Chinese food place on LI. About a week later, Steve, Kramer, and Christine set out on the spanker again. We first headed to Great Gun Beach, where Steve and I constructed a sand-castle worthy of a great king, complete with an outer barrier wall, complete with fortress, a church, tavern, and small cottages inside the inner wall. Then, we took our marvelous vessel back to the bay and introduced two more to Ghetto kneeboarding, then Chinese/Japanese/Thai/Sushi again for dinner.

Concerts:

I saw two concerts this summer. First, Stony Brook University had Jimmy Eat World. Tino, Jay, and I were in attendance. There was another shitty band after them, but they suck hardcore, so we left. We went to Applebees. Eating half-price appetizers is better than listening to shitty bands anytime. The Mets also celebrated that night, getting something insane like 13 runs in one inning in Philly. Kick-ass. The next concert was my redemption for missing Greenday back in May @ Binghamton. Stupid sprained ankle. So, for the second time in my life, I saw my second favorite band of all time play live. GREENDAY. They, needless to say, KICKED ASS!. Jimmy Eat World was the opening act, and though not as good as in a gym show, they were quite good as well. Despite some misadventures in Jersey, Jeff, Villaci, Tino and I had an amazing time. Fantastic show!

P-A-R-T-Why? Because we have to!:

Partay was the word. Some killer bashes took place this summer. First, the grad parties. Corinne's party was quite fun, and featured one of the best water fights I've ever been a part of. I mean, how many water fights end with a dude wearing a skirt? It also featured one of the most diabolical plotting trio's known to man. Olsen/Krebs/Bowie. Lookout world. It also happened to the same day as a Mets Vs. Yankees game which the good guys won, allowing me ample braggin rights over a certain person named Krebs. The next day (more accurately 2 days) was Bills Grad party. This party led to the creation of the phrase "What happens in the Pool, stays in the pool." It also featured a long running, but highly entertaining game of volleyball. Next up: Pyro's Summer Bash. This two night event (though I was only at 1) was the highlight party event of the summer. Everyone was there, and the first night featured Kramer getting drunk for the first time ever. Mucho entertaining. It also began the tradition of the travelling slip and slide. A great beer pong rivalry was also began this night, The Matts (Kramer and Cabble) Vs The Tanks (Bowie and Bill). Though the record is in their favor, we shall avenge. I had a bad experience with Tequila that night, but we won't go there. Mr. Cuervo and I are back on speaking terms again. The second night was supposedly just as good, though I avoided it, due to work the next morning. (Stupid Fucking Ferry). Bills house was the scene of the end of summer bash. The slip and slide made its third (and for now, final) stop of the summer, and Matts and Tanks squared off again. Much fun for all continuuing straight through to breakfast the next morning.

Thats it for now. Theres one last entry to come, didn't want to make this unreadably long, though it probably is already. Still to come:

The City, Colorado, Romance (or lack thereof), and Losses.
